STEPS
| 1. Review the tryout principles via the Tryout Principles section. |
| 2 Review your child's USA Hockey age classification and level for the 2010-2011 season (e.g. Squirt, Pee Wee, Bantam, Midget) via this document. |
| 3. Review the tryout schedule via the Tryout Schedule section of this site to see your son or daughter three tryout session dates and times. The tryout session dates and times are listed per age level classification (e.g. Squirt, Pee Wee, Bantam, Midget). |

Complete
the five
tryout
forms
below
and
return
them to
the
Natick
Comets
with the
tryout
registration
fee of
$100
(made
payable
to
Natick
Comets).
The
forms
and fee
in an
envelope
can be
placed
in the
Comets
drop box
in the
lobby of

Chase
Arena,
mailed
to
Natick

presented

Registrar

tryout

Parents, you have been watching you son or daughter play in many travel hockey games and practices throughout the season. We now need your help. The Comets program is made up of volunteers who dedicate their time to make your child's hockey experience as enjoyable and instructional as possible. Please take a moment to fill out the short, on-line survey via the link below and share your comments on your travel team experience this season.
Please complete one survey for each child you have in the travel program. All evaluations will be kept confidential. Your responses will help us work to improve the quality of our travel program. If there is an area where you would like to see improvement or where you think we have succeeded, we would appreciate you taking the time to fill in the optional comment section at the end to share more detail. Coach Mark Knapp's Comets youth Squirt C team collected canned goods for the Natick Food Pantry. This is an activity that Coach Knapp does each year with his team. This year the team collected over 60 bags of groceries. The first picture shows the team with the bags. In the second picture, Patty Schaffer, Director of the Natick Food Pantry, is talking to the kids about the difference that their contribution will make to local families.

Comets Youth Squirt A Team Wins District 8 Championship ::: Comets Girls U10 and U12A Teams In Mass. State Tournament
With a 3-1 semifinal win over Ashland/Holliston, the Comets youth Squirt A team played Framingham in the District 8 championship game. In what was a very exciting game, the Comets hung on to win 4-3. The Comets Squirt A team will be heading for the Mass. state tournament in Barnstable the weekend of March 19-21.
The Comets girls U10 and U12A teams will be playing in the Mass. state tournament in Springfield the weekend of March 19-21.
Good luck to the youth Squirt A and girls U10 and U12A teams in their respective Mass. state tournaments!

Comets Youth Pee Wee B Team Wins Waltham February Vacation Tournament
The youth Pee Wee B team won a thriller in triple overtime (4-3) over South Boston to win the Waltham February Vacation Tournament. The boy’s squad marched through the tournament, and won the championship game, with stellar goaltending, a stingy defense, and a surging offense. Congratulations to the youth Pee Wee B team.

Comets Girls Program Outing - Boston College Women's Ice Hockey Game, On-Ice Skate With The Women Players, And Dinner At Kelly's
Comets girls (travel, house, and skills programs) enjoyed the girls program outing at the Sunday, January 24 Boston College vs. Providence women's game, post-game on ice skate with the Boston College women players, and dinner at Kelly's. The girls program outing is an annual event and the Comets organization is pleased to continue the event tradition again this season.
Former Boston College women's team player and current member of the USA women's Olympic ice hockey team Kelli Stack was in attendance at the game and met with all the Comets girls for photos and autographs. Kelli will be playing for the USA in the Vancouver 2010 Olympic games in February.

Comets Youth Squirt A Team Wins The Burlington Amateur Hockey Association (BAHA) Blizzard Tournament In Burlington, Vermont
Starting the January 16-18 BAHA tournament with a 3-3 tie against the Quebec, Canada team, the youth Squirt A team went on to defeat Watertown, CT and the host team Burlington, VT. The Squirt A team won the tournament with an impressive 6-4 win over Watertown, CT in the finals. Congratulations to the Squirt A team.

Comets Youth Squirt C Team Runner-Up In Waterville Valley Tournament
The Comets youth Squirt C team finished second in the Deep Freeze Tournament held January 8-10 in Waterville Valley, NH. After a thrilling opening night 4-3 victory over Reading, the Comets lost their first Saturday game, 6-0, to an excellent Andover team. Facing a win-and-your-in scenario Saturday night, the Comets scored two third period goals to beat Canton, 3-1, to advance to the Sunday final. On Sunday the hard-working Comets played Andover tough for two periods before bowing 7-2. Excellent work by a young and determined team!

Comets Youth Bantam C Team A Guest Of TD Bank Kids Clubhouse And The Bruins
The Comets youth Bantam C team was a guest of the TD Bank Kids Clubhouse at the December 2 Bruins vs. Lightning game. The Kids Clubhouse program brings in children from non-profit organizations all over the state to every Boston Bruins home game. The children are chauffeured by Limousines to their local TD Bank branch and then to the game, while a TD Bank representative accompanies the group. At the game they are treated to loge seats, dinner, and are featured on Garden HDX (video scoreboard) and the television broadcast.

Comets Youth Squirt A Team Wins Boston Bruins Christmas Tournament
Following a convincing 4-1 semi-final victory over Wilmington, the Comets youth Squirt A team faced off against Burlington in the finals of the Boston Bruin Christmas Tournament. After a scoreless first period, the Comets exploded for three second period scores on their way to a 6-2 championship victory. Comets' forward Anthony Marinello was named MVP of the championship game.
The Bruins team mascot Blades and former Bruins player Bob Sweeney are in the photo below.

Comets Girls Reach Mini 1-On-1 Finals At The TD Garden
Congratulations to girls Pee Wee U12 players Alyssa Lilly and Anna Lerch who represented the Comets girls program at the Boston Bruins Mini 1-On-1 event held at the TD Garden in early October. Alyssa and Anna played their way through five rounds of tough competition before falling to Assabet in the championship round.
Alyssa and Anna were shown in action on NESN Saturday, October 31 during the Bruins vs. Oilers game (1-1 semi-finals) and Thursday, November 5 during the Bruins vs. Canadiens game (1-1 finals).
