Mite B Team Wins Falmouth Tournament

The Mite B team won the Kevin P. Williamson Memorial Tournament, held February 22-24 at the Falmouth Ice Arena on Cape Cod. The tournament was played to honor the memory of Kevin Williamson, a Falmouth youth hockey player who passed away following his battle with cystic fibrosis. The Comets advanced to the championship game with consecutive victories over Marshfield (12-0), Walpole (4-2), and the host Falmouth Clippers (8-3). Saving their best game of the tournament for last, the Comets defeated a tough Walpole team 5-1 in the championship game. The mother of Kevin Williamson was on hand to present the winning trophies to the Comet players and coaches. Congratulations to the Mite B team!
