2026 Natick Comets Scholarship Recipients
Celebrating Our Seniors & the 2026 Natick Comets Scholarship Recipients!
As the school year came to a close and we were launched straight into summer, the Natick Comets organization wants to send a huge, heartfelt Congratulations to all of our Comets Seniors who graduated this year!
Watching you grow from your first steps on the ice in our Learn to Play programs into incredible young adults has been an absolute privilege. You’ve skated through early mornings, tough battles, and unforgettable victories, carrying the Comets spirit with you every step of the way. We are incredibly proud of the teammates, leaders, and citizens you have become.
While we celebrate our entire graduating class, we want to give a special shout-out to the recipients of our 2026 Natick Comets High School Scholarships.
These annual scholarships recognize graduating seniors who embody the core values of the Comets: dedication, leadership, sportsmanship, and a commitment to giving back to the game. This year, we had the distinct privilege of honoring two exceptional lifelong Comets.
The 2026 Augie Chase Memorial Scholarship
Recipient: Finnian Moriarty
Next Stop: Michigan State University (Studying Business)
Finnian has been a fixture in the Comets community for as long as we can remember. A lifelong player, Finn didn't just excel on the ice—he committed himself to lifting up the next generation of skaters. By serving as a mentor and coach to our younger players, he perfectly demonstrated what it means to be a true leader. We know that same work ethic and leadership will serve him incredibly well as he heads to East Lansing this fall to study business at Michigan State. Go Green, Finn!
The 2026 Sarah Hoffman Memorial Scholarship
Recipient: Rayne Nelson
Next Stop: Nova Southeastern University (Studying Psychology)
Rayne’s impact on the Natick Comets runs incredibly deep. As another lifelong Comet, Rayne has poured her passion for the sport back into the rink, dedicating her time to mentoring and coaching younger youth hockey players. Her empathy, patience, and dedication to guiding others make her the perfect recipient of this year's award. Rayne is heading south to Florida this fall to study psychology at Nova Southeastern University, and we know she has a remarkably bright future ahead.
Once a Comet, Always a Comet 🏒
To Finn, Rayne, and the entire Graduating Class of 2026: thank you for the memories, the leadership, and the legacy you leave behind at Chase Arena and beyond.
No matter where your next chapters take you, remember that you will always have a home—and a cheering section—right here in Natick.
Congratulations and best of luck!
