Girls Hockey Development
We’re excited to announce a new Girls Hockey Development Program open to all 8U-14U girls
Our goal this year is to build a community for our female players by providing a safe, fun, and healthy environment for girls to form a love for the game of hockey, to grow and improve as athletes, and to develop as young leaders off and on the ice.
This program will run throughout the entire 2025-2026 season and girls registered in this program will get full access to all the fun and exciting events throughout the season.

Fall GHDP Events:
We welcome all girls and their families to join us for the GHDP Kickoff & Info Session on Tuesday, September 2 with guest female hockey players, music, and some fun competitions.
Girls Only Skills: Tuesdays @ 6:40 PM at Chase Arena
Fall Girls Only Dryland Training: Sundays @ 2:00 PM at Johnson School Field
Sept 14 & 28, Oct 5 & 19, and Nov 2 & 16
Winter GHDP Events:
Girls Only Skills: Wednesdays @ 6:40 PM at Chase Arena
GHDP will continue our skills and small area games planned for Nov 11, Nov 25, Dec 3, Dec 17 with several of our Comets Coaches.
Upcoming events:
- Off Szn Hockey will run a free skills session on December 10 for all girls in the area*. Please contact Coach Drew (andrew.ballow@natickcomets.com) to get a spot on the ice with this all-female coaching team led by Coach Amanda Abromson.
Players must have completed one-year of Learn to Play. Non-GHDP girls welcome.
- Skills with Coach Drinkwater and Rivier Women's Hockey Players in January
- Skills sessions with Off Szn Hockey in January and February
- Special Skills Session with the Boston Fleet in February

AGES
This program is for U8-U14 players (7-14 years of age) and we recommend players have completed Learn to Play prior to joining the GHDP program, however some girls are able to advance quickly after a few sessions of Learn to Play into the GHDP. With that said, if you’re unsure, please email Coach Drew to assess which program might be best for your daughter.
